We all remember when Richard Hammond of Grand Tour took the challenge to the natives in Dubai to race a Porsche 918 hypercar against a suspiciously low-key-looking Nissan Patrol.And yes you still remember the outcome of what the VR38 powered Patrol did to Porsche!Complete damage(Joke is;Richard hasn't recovered yet!) But what you didn't know is that,the white Patrol you were introduced to in the Grand Tour just got a 'double agent'. And its faster than its predecessor!
They created an SUV that is faster than a Porsche. And they made it look simple.Swapped a GTR into a Nissan Patrol that it is almost hard to contrast!
They came to Qatar Mile Round 3 with the pair of VR38 and it took the black one a one debut run on the sunny runway (straight out of trailer) to send the message that they were going straight for the SUV half mile world record;which was at 333km/h by Al Anabi racing's golden tb48 Patrol.The first run they reached a high flying 331km/h against strong blowing winds before turning around to run a world record pass 335km/h at half mile.The white didn't fail to impress either reaching a couple of 325km/h and 332km/h.

The VR38 Patrol took the world by storm when it beat Hammond driving Porsche 918 shortly after in 2016 at Qatar Mile event the white one in the Grand Tour was unleashed at full tilt to run 328km/h over half mile to create the SUV record. In 2017 however,Al Anabi SUV ran another jaw cracking 333km/h with Mahana Al Naemi to set the record. Only that it didn't last long. F_Performance with Saeed Shamsi came from Dubai after missing a number of runs in round 1 and round 2 of Qatar Mile to set it farther to a 335km/h at Round 3 season finale and we are very comfortable this figures wont last long.
- The previous record by Al Anabi Racing angry bird golden 2000hp tb48 patrol that tore its doors to the 333km/h did not last long as F Performance appeared from Dubai to steal the show at Qatar Mile round 3 with their 'double agent'
