Finding a place to spot these bikes will be a challenge bearing in mind the harsh 'sunlit' Doha in summer or the chilly winter. Not forgetting the very private lifestyle of people who own these kind of bikes here in Qatar. Qatari are very private people.Also photography in the streets is not a norm here and as much as you might not get arrested for it,you will not be permitted to carry a 600mm of a lens gear in the streets without having a filming/photography permit in some parts of Doha especially at the Corniche. So where can you spot these bikes and take as much photos as you want and for free?We all like free things...don't we?
One place is in the East Industrial Area of Qatar. Qatar Racing Club facility is the home of infamous top fuel team Al Anabi Racing under the sponsorship of H.E Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Thani. This facility hosts a number of national street racing in Qatar for those familiar with drag racing in the Middle East. They have a quality 1/8th mile drag strip that runs 1/4 mile races as well in the winter and summer.
They have two of drag racing series with the biggest being ADRL -Arabian Drag Racing League and only happens once in a year in overly 3 rounds during winter. The biggest in the essence this league attracts the Europe's,entire GCC(Bahrain,Kuwait,UAE,KSA,Dubai) and America's big drag racing teams.
ADRL is the biggest drag racing league in the region and here you get to capture as free photos of the baddest street bikes,pro bikes and real street bikes.
On this day,it was rather the smaller championship. Mostly for the locals. National Street Drag has hugely grown in Qatar with bikers and bike lovers feeling up the facility wit cools bike and lots of free Photos to take.
Overall Qatar Racing Club facility is a home of Motorsport in the middle east and if you are a fun of speed then its the place to be all weekend for your motoring events!
