It keeps getting better and hotter here at Qatar Racing Club with the season 2015 - 2016 nearing its end. The inclusion of the Batabit's organized 'Grom Vespa Motorcycles' event day lit up the quiet drag strip in the industrial area of Qatar last Thursday night ushering the Fridays 4X4 free style drift that attracted over 31 cars and participants.

What a busy week here at the home of Anabi.

It was the first time this event (Vespa Racing) took place in the history of the club. Hosting slightly over 30 riders who graced the occasion to compete in the Batabit sponsored race.

Vespa Scooters are luxuries here is Qatar,with race teams competing in the ADRL and street drag championships occasionally using these scooters to access the pit area and the staging lanes. Well it was a time to put these slightly ignored yet fancy bikes to the test and it was amazing seeing Vespa run 5.9s 6.02s and slightly lower.

For a first event it was a success with winners grabbing awards from Batabit. QRC continues to host these 'out-of-calendar' events to the 24th June when Mawater Drift Championship mark the end of the 2015 -2016 season in QRC Racing calendar.
